5月5日は、子どもの日。
日本では、男の子のお祝いの日です。
もとは、端午の節句（たんごのせっく）といって、むかし、中国から伝わってきたそうです。
こいのぼりや、かぶとを飾って、子供たちが健康に育つように、お祈りします。
日本語教室では、ボランティアの先生が、りっぱな、かぶとを持ってきてくれました。
みんなで、新聞紙で、かっこいいかぶとを作りました。忍者
もいましたね！とても楽しいクラスでした！
May 5th is Children's Day.
In Japan, it's a day to celebrate boys.
It was originally called Tango no Sekku is said to have been introduced from China a long time ago.
We decorate with carp streamers and helmets and pray for the healthy growth of children.
For our class, a volunteer teacher brought a beautiful helmet.
Everyone made cool helmets out of newspapers. There was even a ninja
! We had a lot of fun!
